Some idea and thoughts.
If situation doesn’t change, by 2020, perhaps a lot of us will be in somewhere else another than this island.
China is going red giant. Malaysia is getting restless. United States is becoming too busy with her own trouble. India and Pakistan have far surpass our under-estimation. Indonesia is recovering and eying. Thailand waking up. Brunei oil running out. Maybe we can still have Bangladesh labor around, but i doubt by then they will want to work in our construction site anymore.
This island has no natural resources, other than people. Now, look at what people we have? Who cares about that. But yes, who here cares at all? Perhaps a few, not more.
I see the management knew all these and they have a solution. It is harsh, but there seems to be no other choice. To survive, it seems that corporatization is the only choice. Put it more exact, either this land become a corporation, or we perish under globalization.
Corporation is a place where you do your part, get your pay and keep quiet. You don’t see the Microsoft technician go question Bill Gates where the profits go, do you? Bill Gates is a good guy, isn’t he? He runs his corporation well. Doesn’t this seem pragmatic and common sense? Shouldn’t you obey?
So you want to live in a corporation? Not any corporation, but one with an Executive Chairman. It is not one which you can step out and say ‘I quit’, because it runs the land you are stepping on. Unless you cross the sea (far enough).
My logic tells me we have no choice but to become a corporation, though my conscience tells me otherwise. I think am skeptical about this.
Is there anyway to survive, without everyday thinking that we are surrounded by enemies aiming to swallow us anytime? I know it is human nature to be selfish, but must it be exaggerate to the extend where everyone is a devil? Exaggerate to the extend where either we can either let the almighty decide all, or shallowed?
History tells me this land has been a provoking red dot. And history tells me that provoking nation, no matter how big, powerful and resourceful they are, perish when they make too much enemy. The worse thing is, enemy are not absolute; they are mostly work of speculations. Can someone do me a favor and go stop the suicide?
People are getting disillusioned.
