In my previous entry (Why I don’t write about Singapore Politics?), WAYANGAYAM asked many questions and one of them was that how to get people like you to come down from their high horses and behave like humans again?

Nope. I ain’t going to answer that question first. I think it is more interesting to find out what makes the commenter ask this kind of question.
Right from the start, WAYANGAYAM has such a mindset where our society is divided into 2 distinct category, that is the rich and the poor. He probably realised that a middle class of people exist — people like [him/herself] who speaks in the name of the poor, although not as poor, opposes the rich. Now guess what? [He/she] decided to classify me under the ‘rich’ category, most likely because I doesn’t seem to ‘care’ about the poor. I think this is the reason [he/she] uses stereotypical phrases like ‘high horses’ to seprate [his/her] humanness and the others.
WAYANGAYAM simply went about drawing a line between me and [him/herself] , [He/she] then tries to win [his/her] way through by making [his/her] side more upright than ‘my side’, a common political persuasion method, which is obviously overused. It is a psychological pneumonia for a person to perceive another has much less moral and humane, simply because the other believe less or none of a value the first person holds dear. This is nothing spiritual, it is just pride at work.
Now, WAYANGAYAM and his community have to understand that although they brought out many issues (see the Singapore Democrat website) that concerns our local people, they must realise that many other issues exist in this world. Everyone must realise the fact that most of the time, policies to addess these issues are double edge sword. They will make somebody happy, and they will make somebody else sad. This is why politics are complicated and not many people are motivated enough to make politics their cup of tea. Is WAYANGAYAM and his community doing anything to help solve this problem? I am sure the answer is no, because their focus is on promoting their political product only. Am I going to call [him/her] a sub-human because [he/she] cannot visualise this common sense? I don’t think so because there is always something more constructive to focus on — like uncovering this mental flaw of [his/hers]. I hope I answered that question of his.
WAYANGAYAM also asked me why don’t you [I] solve social and economic injustices? Wow. What have I done to solve your unhappiness? Then what have you done? Does talking ever get anything done? If WAYANGAYAM and his friends are really concern about solving poverty in Singapore and are so efficent in tracking down the people in need, then why don’t they set up a charity that focus on aiding and educating these people on the street into living better life? I think that will be wonderful.
More ideas will come in future entries.
